JOHANNE LOHSE BEQUEST

GENERAL INFORMATION

2012 ACADEMIC YEAR

1. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide assistance towards the cost of tertiary studies to the daughters of full-time, paid Ordained Ministers holding office in the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

2. The scholarships are available for applicants studying for a first degree.
They may be awarded for any subject.

3. The number of scholarships is limited by the funds available and the quality of the applicants. A maximum total of $3,000 pa (total $9,000 over three years) will be awarded for studies commencing in 2012.

4. Scholarships are available for up to three years and amounts are at the discretion of the Trustees.

5. They are available for study anywhere in New Zealand, the United Kingdom, the continent of Europe, or Australia.

6. Candidates must be between 17 and 26 years of age at the time of application, and produce evidence of birth and baptism, and have been resident within the boundaries of the New Zealand Anglican Church for three years. One parent must hold, or have held, a Bishop's licence as a full-time, paid Ordained Minister in the Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

Applications must be returned by Thursday, 12 April 2012 to be considered for the 2012 academic year.
