Dear Bishop Victoria,
In a little over an hour, people here at Church House will gather in the Chapel of the Holy Apostles to celebrate Eucharist together. In the course of that celebration, our prayers will be lifted to God for you and the people and churches of Christchurch.
I have read your most recent messages, and find them deeply moving. Thank you for including the wider Anglican family, and especially the Anglican Church of Canada, in your circle of care and prayer.
I will pray that the gathering of God’s people for Christmas celebrations in Christchurch will be enlivened and encouraged by the Holy Spirit and serve as occasions for a witness to hope.
Wishing you every blessing of this season,
Michael
